Wedding | Adam and Abby | Washington, DC

What’s more adventurous than a Washington, DC wedding?  Answer – a Washington, DC wedding with Adam and Abby!  I had the awesome privilege of flying out to DC to shoot this wedding and did we ever get some awesome images from it.  Both Adam and Abby are incredibly outgoing and photogenic; so, literally any photo that was snapped turned out amazingly.  The day started off hot and humid, as many days in DC typically do.  Luckily, we had plenty of room and AC in the Presidential Suite in the Westin Georgetown.

Prep photos at the Westin went quickly before we all walked down to a nearby park to do the first look!  Despite the heat, Adam and Abby seemed to not even notice when they saw each other for the first time.  We really wanted to be able to do some similar pictures to their engagement session near the Washington Monument so we took a cab downtown.  Here is where the story gets funny/scary –  the cabby drove off with one of my bags in the trunk.  My bag full of gear!  Luckily, I always have my primary gear on my body with this awesome gear belt but still, talk about a heart stopping moment.  Regardless, we pressed on because let’s be honest, the wedding day is way more important and it was a beautiful day to be out on the lawn of the monument.  After dodging a few ongoing kickball games, we go the main picture you see below.  It was really similar to their engagement session image!

Afterwards, we drove back for a beautiful traditional Jewish ceremony complete with Tisch, Bedecken, Chuppah and other important traditions!  Then… then the live band started to play and quite literally, all the guests, at one point or another, got out to dance the night away.  It was an amazing wedding with amazing people.  Thank you so much to all the guests who were awesome and incredibly friendly!  I hope you enjoy the images – if you do make sure to leave some comment love either here or the Lumen Facebook Page.
