wedding | john and amy | center city, mn

whew!

it’s been a marathon editing night (i’m posting this at 3:30am, i know night owl)!  it’s all good though cause i’ve got a ton of images to show you from john and amy’s wedding.  john and amy are a great couple and they made the day a blast.  their wedding was held in center city, mn.  it’s about 15 minutes from the chisago lakes area.  after an hourish drive i finally arrived to this small town.  as i pull up to the church i realize how beautiful and ornate it is.  it is done up in the style of a traditional norwegian church and this got me uber-pumped to shoot the ceremony.  fast forward, the ceremony went off without a hitch and afterwords there was some delicious coffee and pastries served to everyone there.  right after this i had gone and pulled my car around to the front of the church.  unfotunatley, i was parked on the side of the  road and while i was shooting the formals this state trooper on a power trip drove by.  he immediately screeched to a halt and i sprinted down to hopefully avoid a sticky situation.  after yelling at me to move the car, which i did, i walked back up to continue the formals.  john, the groom, then approached me and told me i had nothing to worry about as there were about 15 lawyers at the wedding and both he and his new wife were going to grad school to become lawyers also.  i thought this was pretty funny; though, i am glad i didn’t get a ticket.

i was lucky enough to be able to steal away the bride and groom to this neat little location i had found on my way into town.  there was this old ford fairlane that was all rusty on the outside but with nice interiors.  i was able to convince john and amy to sit inside and get some cute photos and boy oh boy did we ever get some cute photos!  after that we took a quick jaunt over to the reception area (luckily no more cops were involved).  they had this great tent set up and a great dinner ready with my personal highlights being the shishkabobs and beer!  :  ) mmmmmmmmmm.  during dinner there were quite a few dinging of the glasses to make the bride and groom kiss and at one point it happened when john was all the way across the room… so… the bride kissed her maid-of-honor, and sister, on the cheek instead.  after dinner i got one of my favorite dancing photos where john was twirling amy around.  it was absolutley perfect.

overall a spot on night that was super enjoyable with a ton of good images.  theses are, in my opinion, some of the best of the best of the day.  i hope you enjoy them.  to john and amy, g’luck in law school hopefully you won’t get any emails from me saying i need a lawyer :  )  (just kidding, no calls or emails to you!)

enjoy,

evan
